Good news to all my fellow New Englanders who might want to fly to Tokyo (or vice-versa), Japan airlines is now offering non-stop flights on the new 787 jets. I’m psyched, although there are no plans to visit in the immediate future as we just spent a couple of weeks back home this past summer. Still, when we finally do get back home it will be so nice to take care of all the immigration and customs garbage at the end of the journey and not just somewhere in between when we have to grab our luggage, go through the whole rigamarole, and then re-check everything and find our way to the next flight.
I’m very happy to hear about this exciting news, although it’s pretty weird to see “Boston!” in big letters on a train in Tokyo. I suppose it is one of the coolest cities out there to never have non-stop service to Asia before.
Guess I’ll be flying Japan Airlines next time I hit the East Coast. Bon Voyage!
